Back Issues Penthouse Letters

Look at '... WALLY'S WEEK

Hello everyone and hello to all, how are you?
For today's post indicating that I would start this Saturday at the library Pier Open Space of Milan, there will be a presentation of the publication of editions of Rome Teke. Editions of the Teke I have spoken several times, and since I am an honest person I have refrained from saying what I thought, if only because they remain as those who made the first YAOI manga (comic books created by authors homoerotic women for a mainly female audience), Italian, when in fact it is not so ...
Beyond the quality of their products (no accounting for taste), but this time I have to acknowledge that they are following the step by step strategy that characterized the promotion of the first Italian YAOI around 2001 (as published by Echo Communications ), which unfortunately was one of the reasons that forced the premature end. Trying to promote a gay YAOI with the public, and in particular in the Italian gay (which, in most cases, is very down to earth), is a bit 'like going to promote complete ski female in a male fishing club ... Maybe to some ski fisherman candy pink (with matching headset) can also be of interest, but most do not. I get the idea?
Moreover, if - paradoxically - a fisherman had the unfortunate idea to go fishing using skis and experience to be unpleasant, it may also decide that the sport in general are not for him ... Now substitute the word sport with the word "comics" and you'll understand why, every time you try to promote and YAOI BOYS LOVE at the gay Italian, I always have a certain fear that there may be adverse effects on the relationship between Italian gay and comics in general, with all the consequences appropriate. The good news is that the editors of the long course, as the Kappa Edizioni, have long understood that this strategy has failed, and despite continuing to publish manga BOYS LOVE (those produced in Japan, of course), for many more years does not promote them at the circuit homosexual ... Where, if anything, are busy promoting their comics with gay themes more properly ...
Which still has an impact on a lot, now that the true cultural circuit gay Italian is what you created on the internet, and certainly not in very few libraries gay Italian ... And even less in the world of local, where people do not go looking for some intellectual stimulation. Which brings me to think that if the Teke editions not yet have a website or a blog visible, maybe they need to see a little 'their concept of the gay world. Among other things, the Internet is becoming the main circuit gay culture in other nations such as France. The evidence is the fact that the historical monthly gay Têtu, which was keeping the bank since 1995 and also have a decent run, decided to go completely over the Internet starting next October.
This is also why, from 2009 to 2010, people who follow his site each month has increased from 100,000 to 700,000, and is certainly a fact to be reckoned with. But be careful: the passage on the Internet of Têtu can not and should not be compared with the disappearance of the historical monthly gay Babylon a few years ago, because these are two very different situations. In fact, the paper version of Têtu has become superfluous because in France the general media (from newspapers to television) is already dealing with competence and professionalism of topics related to the homosexual community, and do so with some frequency. In France, a gay monthly magazine, as edited, is still likely to be late with his information and his insights and the only way to remain competitive is precisely to point to a website that can be updated in real time. The situation that has developed in France, in fact, it seems very similar to the U.S., so much so that the monthly gay The Advocate is now present only on the Internet.
The Italian situation, unfortunately, is very different. In fact, on one hand the Italian media often speak of homosexuality, on the other they do so very confused and rough, putting more regularly highlight aspects of folklore, or perhaps those related to current events or some political statement unedifying . Obviously thinking of further topics related to the gay community as such, or worse, its culture and his sexuality is still a taboo not just media. Especially in this period, which makes it easier to communicate that homosexuality is the worst of the worst, and then use as a yardstick to make other types of less serious conduct. In this climate it is clear that the Italians may have only the gay media spaces for the consumption of the people straight and not tailored to them, like maybe going abroad ... Just to give you an example: March 1 the French general channel Canal + aired a documentary on gay porn performer Francois Sagat (below you can see the promo) ...

In Italy, today, something like that would go beyond science fiction. So much so that, for us, the gay porn performer Carlo Masi was excluded the last moment by the cast of a television program entirely soft tones, as too compromising ... I think it is clear that in this context, the lack of a gay magazine accessible to all (and not just those attending the premises) is heard. Not to mention that the internet, in Italy, it is still difficult to use on large portions of our territory, leaving many homosexuals in a state of isolation, with all the problems that arise (and which will be added to a complex situation not so idyllic ). What a little 'concern is that in a time when the claim would be really important to gay identity, gay Italian circuits continue to do all herbs a bunch ... And so the YAOI will also be the theme of the evening of March 10 at the Chic disco king of Rome ...
Among other things they tell me that this club is also listed in the bear enough, and I really struggled to understand how the YAOI (and maybe the YURI) may have some attraction to this type of audience. Also on March 19 there will also be an event organized by Edizioni Teke YAOI Gay Street in Roman ... Do not know about you, but I get the feeling that there is something in all this does not add up. Is it really possible that even in 2011, the gay cultural scene is so poor from having to borrow the imagery of YAOI (which, I remind you, is designed and manufactured in order to heterosexual women) to animate a gay night at the disco and make presentations at bookstores gay? I think it is something that we must consider very seriously.
What do you think?

Gta Vice City Unhandled Exception Fix

Hello everyone and hello to all, how are you?
Not long ago I reported the imminent release of the new animated series dedicated to Thundercats, and today I find myself to tell you that the announced feature film devoted to these characters is no longer just a rumor, and production is beginning to gain momentum. In fact, until recently circulated only a few images are available (like the one you see below, and submitting the new version of the group's leader, Lion-O) ...
While now beginning to circulate the first official test sequences, which confirmed beyond any doubt that it will be a film made in computer graphics (reducing the risk of turning the movie into a bad copy of the musical CATS ). Since this is the blog that makes you miss anything, you can get an idea of \u200b\u200bhow the film with the movie that I post below ...

Fans loyal to the original animated series have already turned their noses, given that - as often happens in these cases - the characters have been adjusted to more mainstream tastes of the public today, and that means a look more "modern" tone and less epic than those that were fashionable in the mid 80s. Personally I do not think the new version of Lion-O is either thrown away, and indeed I find it much sexier version of the original ... Among other things, as you can guess from this first clip, something tells me that this project could take due account of the gay audience (for which the animated series has long been considered cult, at least in the U.S.). We'll see. It is certain that it would not hurt at the beginning of the movie the main characters are present and in the very first episode of the animated series ...
In any case, something tells me that the new film Thundercats (planned for 2012) will become a gay cult for the public regardless, and certainly inspired a good deal of more or less perverse fantasies, but because the characters semianimali (especially those that expire in cats) driven by a year entire sub-genre comics, which has always given some room for homoerotic comic books in Japan and supplies a real market niche.
On the other hand it is true that manga in Japan are trying to cover every niche imaginable, and when the coffin manga (comics for gay homoerotic) have begun to assert itself could not do less to differentiate themselves in several sub-genres, depending on on the tastes of their audience. Just to give you an idea: just debuted in recent weeks GG Comic, a new periodical publication dedicated to the coffin manga focused primarily on males from the abundant bounty ...
Indeed it rains in the wet, as the male overweight applicant is an erotic fantasy for gay Japanese, partly because their relationship with the fat is slightly different from the West. Do not forget, in fact, that in Japan men are associated with abundant respectable figures like sumo wrestlers, who can be considered as attractive just as other athletes.
Probably this is also the why in the Nippon gay porn video-based overweight males are expressed in a variety of ways that the West would not be even considered ... As you can guess from the cover that you place below, and refers to a recent hard gay Japanese production, in which two superheroes are overweight have sex to save their city ...
Talk about heroism. In any case, about superheroes, Marvel has just made official that it will launch a new series dedicated to Daken, the son of the dark and slightly perverse best known Wolverine ... That, I must admit, for me has always held a certain fascination with beautiful and damned ...
I report here because, as I pointed out several times on this blog, it is an openly bisexual character, and come equipped with a mutant power linked to pheromones (substances that stimulate sexual response odorless) that gives him the power to to those who want to lose your head (male or female). Now, we will see if the writers of this new series will be able to handle it, since it does not lack the potential to address a range of topics interesting and quite unusual for a series MARVEL. In any case it must be said that this will be the first superhero series starring a character as to have openly bisexual, and that in itself is no small thing.
Among other things at Marvel have just decided to reconstitute the original super team Alpha Flight, Northstar that saw (the first gay superhero that made coming out) and where Northstar - rightly - is back in the military. Alpha Flight will have a test launch with a series of twelve numbers, and obviously if it goes well could return with an ongoing series. Again the hope is that the character of Northstar has a chance to emerge and that his being gay should not be neglected ...
Again, we'll see, even if objectively the trend of recent years would seem to promise very well. Finally I would like to close the post today with a story of those who make a certain sadness, but one which needs to report. I should have spoken before, but I wanted to wait for the right time. A couple of weeks ago, only thirty-nine, died Perry Moore. His name was not widely known in Italy (although on this blog I talked about verse times), but for the American gay community had become a cult writer.
In fact, besides being a film producer and television director, had decided to write a novel in which to pour his passion for superheroes and his need to send a positive message to young gay men. That novel, titled Hero, about a gay teenager who became a superhero in spite of himself and had become a small publishing event (to the point of interest to Stan Lee, creator of Marvel, which had expressed an interest to co-produce a film inspired by the events of the book).
Of course now we know that the project will end, and that's a bad news, but what has made me think of is that - according to rumors - is Perry Moore's death would occur from an overdose OxyContin, a drug that does much the same effect as morphine. A pity that someone like Perry Moore, with all its potential, ended his days in this way, because - obbettivamente - had started a small revolution in the relationship among gay issues and superhero ...
Obviously the hope is that anyone can follow his trail and that his contribution is not lost, though - as a reason for gay Americans - are inclined to rule out this risk. What is certain is that Perry Moore died before his book had an issue in our language, and this is something to think about.
the next.

How Long Silicone Adhesive To Dry

NEWS VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Hello everyone and hello to all, how are you?
New Design on eBay, and this time the subject is Bucky, the historic shoulder of the superhero Captain America ...
In this design the most difficult thing was a background process that balances the composition, whereas the subject was all horizontal, so I finally thought of a fantasy that took its cue from the shield of Captain America, Bucky, and that would highlight her curves. also guilty of being naive, at first I made the character with a mask and a hair cut very faithful to the original, and when I had already done everything I could not help but go down and do it almost corrector the whole head again ... In fact maybe a little 'is known ...
